The short version
Promynt is built to be privacy-first. Here's what that means in practice:

1. Introduction
Welcome to Promynt ("we," "us," or "our"). Promynt is an AI prompt enhancement service available as a web application and a Chrome browser extension.
We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
By using Promynt — including our website, web application, or browser extension — you agree to the practices described in this policy.

3. What Promynt Does
Promynt is a tool that helps you write better AI prompts. When you type a prompt into a supported AI platform, Promynt can enhance it before you send it. Promynt works across the following platforms:
- ChatGPT (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com)
- Claude (claude.ai)
- Google Gemini (gemini.google.com)
- Lovable (lovable.dev)
- DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com)
- Perplexity (perplexity.ai)
- Microsoft Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com)
- Canva (canva.com)
4. Information We Collect
We are designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any information that directly identifies you.
4.1 Information Collected Automatically
When you use Promynt, we automatically collect the following:

4.2 What We Do NOT Collect
We are explicit about what we do not collect or store:
- We do not store the content of your prompts. The text you write is used only to generate the enhancement and is never saved to our database.
- We do not store enhanced output text. The improved prompt returned to you is not retained on our servers.
- We do not collect your real IP address. Any identifier derived from your network is immediately converted to an irreversible hash.
- We do not collect your name, email, or any account information.
- We do not track your browsing history outside of the supported AI platforms listed above.
- We do not read, access, or collect any content from other websites or browser tabs.
4.3 Local Storage (Browser Extension)
The Promynt browser extension stores your preferences (such as your chosen enhancement level and prompt intent) directly in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To process your prompt enhancement request and return results to you.
- Service Analytics: To understand aggregate usage patterns, popular features, and platform performance.
- Abuse Prevention: To apply fair-use rate limits and prevent automated misuse of the service.
- Service Improvement: To identify errors, measure performance, and improve the quality of enhancements.
- Geographic Insights: To understand the general geographic distribution of our users at an aggregate level.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
6. How Your Prompt Content Is Processed
When you request an enhancement, your prompt text is:
- Received by our secure backend servers.
- Transmitted to Google's Gemini API for AI processing.
- Enhanced output is returned to your browser.
- The prompt text is then discarded. It is not stored in our database.
Only statistical metadata (lengths, processing time, success status) is retained for analytics purposes.
By using Promynt, you acknowledge that your prompt content will be processed by Google's AI services. We encourage you not to include sensitive personal information, passwords, financial data, or confidential business information in prompts submitted to Promynt.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Promynt. Each has their own privacy practices:

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
8. Chrome Browser Extension
The Promynt Chrome extension operates under the principle of minimal data access. Specifically:

Host Permissions
The extension only activates on the specific AI platforms listed in Section 3. It does not activate on any other website. It does not read content from any other tab.
Data the Extension Accesses
- The extension reads the text you enter into prompt input fields on the supported AI platforms — solely to perform the enhancement you request.
- The extension does not read any other content on those pages (chat history, account information, etc.).
- The extension does not access any content outside of the designated prompt input areas.
9. Cookies
Promynt's website uses standard session functionality provided by our hosting infrastructure. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or behavioral profiling cookies.
Our analytics are based on anonymized server-side event data, not browser cookies.

11. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications between your browser and our servers.
- Encrypted connections between our servers and our database.
- Access controls limiting who can access our systems.
- Irreversible hashing of any identifier derived from network information.

12. Your Privacy Rights
For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data.
- Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to Object: Object to certain types of processing.

Please note: Because we do not collect personally identifiable information and our user identifiers are irreversible hashes, we may not be able to locate or identify data associated with a specific individual. We cannot reverse a hashed identifier to find your records.

For California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected about you.

- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information. Because our data collection is anonymous by design, we do not possess personal information as defined under CCPA in a form that is linkable to a specific identified individual.

13. Children's Privacy
Promynt is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our service and you have concerns, contact us at bilalarifhussain@gmail.com.
14. International Data Transfers
Our servers are operated through Vercel and Neon, which may process data in the United States. If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where such transfers occur, they are governed by appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
15. Third-Party AI Platforms
Promynt enhances prompts for use on third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms or their operators. When you use those platforms, their own privacy policies and terms of service apply to your interactions with them.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Your continued use of Promynt after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
